West Virginia Department of Education seeks an individual for a contract/hourly extracurricular assignment to manage school website content, post district and federal program information, and coordinate family engagement activities. The role supports timely communications to families and the community.
The position requires WV teaching certification and at least five years of teaching experience, with collaboration across the principal and central office to ensure policy compliance and
1. Updating the school website at least once each month, with additional updates as needed throughout
the year
2. Posting and maintaining all required federal program information, including Title I documents,
parent notifications, policies, Right-to-Know information, and other required postings
3. Publicizing upcoming parent and family engagement activities, workshops, and events
4. Communicating assessment information, testing schedules, and other academic updates to families
5. Posting school news, announcements, calendars, and student recognition items in a timely manner
6. Ensuring website content is accurate, current, and accessible to parents, students, and community
stakeholders.
7. Collaborating with the principal and central office departments to post required district
information
8. Maintaining compliance with district policies regarding student privacy, copyright, and web
accessibility
9. Performing other related duties as assigned by the building principal or district information
1. A valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate
2. Minimum Five (5) Years Teaching Experience
