Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a Contract/Hourly Communications/Web Content Specialist to update the school website monthly and as needed throughout the year. The role includes posting federal program information, notifying parents, and publicizing events for families.

You will work with the principal and central office to ensure content accuracy, privacy compliance, and timely posting of news, calendars, and recognitions for students and the community.

Qualifications

• A valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate.
• Minimum Five (5) Years Teaching Experience.

Responsibilities

• Updating the school website at least once each month, with additional updates as needed throughout the year.
• Posting and maintaining all required federal program information, including Title I documents, parent notifications, policies, Right-to-Know information, and other required postings.
• Publicizing upcoming parent and family engagement activities, workshops, and events.
• Communicating assessment information, testing schedules, and other academic updates to families.
• Posting school news, announcements, calendars, and student recognition items in a timely manner.
• Ensuring website content is accurate, current, and accessible to parents, students, and community stakeholders.
• Collaborating with the principal and central office departments to post required district information.
• Maintaining compliance with district policies regarding student privacy, copyright, and web accessibility.
• Performing other related duties as assigned by the building principal or district information

Education

A valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate

Minimum Five (5) Years Teaching Experience
