Job summary

Mesh seeks a Head of Engineering to lead the Web3 full-stack team, directing product and infrastructure for crypto payments. You will shape the technical roadmap for wallets, multi-chain integrations, and on-chain/off-chain orchestration while growing a senior engineering org across global hubs.

You will work with Product, Design, Compliance, and Legal to translate complex requirements into actionable plans, ensuring reliability and scalability in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams with a track record of scaling teams and organizational structure.
• 8+ years of overall engineering experience across frontend, backend, and on-chain components in a Web3/blockchain context.
• Hands-on experience with Web3 building blocks (wallet connectivity, dApp development, RPCs, on-chain/off-chain flows).
• Familiar with DeFi primitives and how they operate in production systems.
• Security-first mindset and ability to instill reliability and security across the org.
• Experience setting engineering standards across a stack including TypeScript/React, Go/Rust/Java/Scala/Node.js, and Solidity.
• Solid fundamentals in building scalable, observable distributed systems with monitoring and tracing.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy for Web3 initiatives and translate priorities into a multi-quarter plan.
• Build, manage, and grow a team of senior to staff engineers; hire, coach, and set career paths.
• Lead design and technical direction for workflows spanning wallets, transactions, settlements, and on-chain/off-chain orchestration.
• Own planning and delivery of multi-chain integrations, wallet infrastructure, RPC node management, and on-chain monitoring.
• Partner with Product, Design, Compliance, Legal and cross-functional teams to turn requirements into a roadmap.
• Represent engineering in exec planning and reporting, influencing roadmap decisions and resourcing.
