Job summary

Mesh seeks a Director of Engineering to lead its Full-Stack Web3 team, shaping product and infrastructure for a crypto payments platform. You’ll guide wallet connections, multi-chain processing, and on/off-ramp systems with a focus on reliability and scale.

You’ll manage and grow senior-to-staff engineers, define technical direction for complex workflows, and partner with product, design, compliance, and legal to turn ambiguous needs into a coherent roadmap. Remote-friendly with global teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams with a track record of scaling teams and organizational structure.
• 8+ years of overall engineering experience, frontend, backend and on-chain components in Web3/blockchain context.
• Hands-on experience with Web3 building blocks including wallet connectivity/integrations, dApp development, blockchain RPCs and on-chain/off-chain payment and settlement flows.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy for Web3 initiatives and translate priorities into a multi-quarter plan.
• Build, manage, and grow a team of senior to staff engineers—hire, coach, and set career paths.
• Lead design and technical direction for workflows spanning wallets, transactions, and on-chain/off-chain orchestration.
• Own planning and delivery of multi-chain integrations, wallet infrastructure, RPC node management, and on-chain monitoring.
• Partner with Product, Design, Compliance, Legal, and cross-functional/external teams to turn ambiguous requirements into a roadmap.
• Represent engineering in exec planning and reporting, influencing company-wide roadmap and resourcing.
