Position Overview:
UMBC's University Communications and Marketing (UCM) team is hiring a Web Specialist to help maintain and improve one of higher education's most visited university websites. This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day content management, digital request triage, and accessibility compliance for UMBC.edu and campus partner sites.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for routine content updates, work closely with a small, collaborative remote team, and help keep the university's digital ecosystem healthy and current. This role is a strong fit for someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced working independently in a fast-paced content environment.

A remote work schedule may be available. Individuals must be located in the United States. Preference given to candidates living in the DMV (Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia) for occasional campus events.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Salary: $64,000 to $72,000depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
