Job description

Seeking a Director for an independent web series, a character-driven comedy-drama about five friends navigating adulthood in New York City. We are looking for someone with a strong visual style and a knack for naturalistic performances. This is a great opportunity to put your stamp on a fun, relatable project with breakout potential. Your primary responsibility will be bringing our scripts to life, guiding the actors, and working closely with the DP and crew to execute our vision. We need someone who can lead on set with clear direction and a collaborative spirit. Applicants should have prior directing experience, a strong reel showcasing their narrative work, and preferably, experience with digital series. You do not need to provide your own camera gear. We anticipate a 10-day shoot, likely spread over 3-4 weeks, starting in December 2026. Shoot days will be 10-12 hours, with some prep work required before filming begins. Meals and production insurance will be provided. Compensation is $200-400 per day, dependent on experience.
