Job summary

Sheridan Minnesota is hiring for a hands-on printing support role on the 2nd shift. You will work closely with the Press Operator to run high‑speed printing equipment, load materials, and monitor fountain solutions for quality and consistency.

The position emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and adherence to safety in a factory environment with potential overtime. Training will be provided for those new to bindery or printing operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to use basic hand tools.
• Able to read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes).

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist with high‑speed printing presses alongside the Press Operator.
• Load paper and monitor fountain solution parameters (pH, conductivity).
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot minor issues to keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

At Sheridan Minnesota, your work doesn’t disappear into a spreadsheet—it becomes books, catalogs, and printed materials people use every day. If you’ve worked with machines, enjoy hands‑on work, and take pride in quality, we’ll train you to run high‑speed printing equipment.

This is a 2nd shift position - working Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11 PM with potential for overtime hours.

What You’ll Do

• Work with Press Operator to aid in the operation of the printing press.
• Ensure paper is loaded and monitor pH and conductivity of fountain solution on presses.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.We’re looking for people who:

• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma, or GED.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work.
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience.
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment.
• Graphic arts and/or technical school background.

Physical & Work Environment

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

• Safety toe shoes and hearing protection required.
• On your feet for most of the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50lbs.
