Job summary

TSG - The Sheridan Group in Minnesota is seeking a hands-on press support role on the 2nd shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM). We will train you to operate high-speed printing equipment and assist the Press Operator to keep production moving.

Responsibilities include loading paper, monitoring fountain solution parameters, inspecting finished products for quality, and following safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be mechanically inclined with basic tool use.
• Able to read job instructions and measurements.

This is a 2nd shift position - working Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11 PM with potential for overtime hours.

What You’ll Do

• Work with Press Operator to aid in the operation of the printing press.
• Ensure paper is loaded and monitor pH and conductivity of fountain solution on presses.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.We’re looking for people who:

• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma, or GED.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work.
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience.
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment.
• Graphic arts and/or technical school background.

Physical & Work Environment

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

• Safety toe shoes and hearing protection required.
• On your feet for most of the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50lbs.
