Job summary

Sheridan Minnesota is seeking a hands-on individual to join our printing team. This 2nd shift role involves assisting the press operator, loading paper, and monitoring fountain solution, with training provided. You’ll help ensure product quality and smooth production in a hands-on, factory environment.

Safety shoes and eye/ear protection are required, and lifting up to 50 lbs is expected. We value reliability, teamwork, and pride in quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Able to read job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes).

Responsibilities

• Assist the press operator in operating the printing press.
• Load paper and monitor fountain solution pH and conductivity.

This is a 2nd shift position - working Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11 PM with potential for overtime hours.

What You’ll Do

• Work with Press Operator to aid in the operation of the printing press.
• Ensure paper is loaded and monitor pH and conductivity of fountain solution on presses.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.We’re looking for people who:

• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma, or GED.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work.
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience.
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment.
• Graphic arts and/or technical school background.

Physical & Work Environment

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

• Safety toe shoes and hearing protection required.
• On your feet for most of the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50lbs.
