Job summary

Sheridan Minnesota is seeking a dependable press helper for 2nd shift to support high‑speed printing operations and quality control.

You’ll train on presses, load paper, monitor fountain solution and pH levels, inspect finished products, and troubleshoot minor issues while keeping a safe, clean, and well‑organized workspace. Teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn on the job.
• Ability to read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the operation of the printing press with the Press Operator.
• Load paper and monitor fountain solution on presses.

Job description

At Sheridan Minnesota, your work doesn’t disappear into a spreadsheet—it becomes books, catalogs, and printed materials people use every day. If you’ve worked with machines, enjoy hands‑on work, and take pride in quality, we’ll train you to run high‑speed printing equipment.

This is a 2nd shift position - working Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11 PM with potential for overtime hours.

What You’ll Do

• Work with Press Operator to aid in the operation of the printing press.
• Ensure paper is loaded and monitor pH and conductivity of fountain solution on presses.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.We’re looking for people who:

• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma, or GED.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work.
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience.
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment.
• Graphic arts and/or technical school background.

Physical & Work Environment

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

• Safety toe shoes and hearing protection required.
• On your feet for most of the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50lbs.
