Job summary

onX seeks a Web Software Engineer III to build and scale hunter experiences as part of the Hunt team. You’ll own frontend solutions, collaborate across orgs, and help deliver a best-in-class Hunt experience from onboarding through the season.

You’ll work with TypeScript, Vue, GraphQL (Apollo Client), and Mapbox, with a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability, while exploring AI integration and data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development, with ≥2 years web client work.
• Strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve web products for hunters using TypeScript, Vue, GraphQL, and Mapbox.
• Own end-to-end solutions from ideation to delivery with a focus on architecture and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and engineers to deliver cohesive user experiences.
• Run A/B tests and feature rollouts using Split, Eppo, Amplitude; measure impact.
• Mentor and raise quality through design reviews and frontend best practices.
• Monitor production health and triage incidents affecting web experiences.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests with Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Explore AI opportunities to embed AI as a repeatable co-pilot in workflows.
