Web & eCommerce Project Manager
Simpson Strong-Tie is a leader in engineered structural connectors, software, and solutions for the building industry. The Web & eCommerce Project Manager will play a central role in delivering high-impact digital initiatives across the company website and customer portal ecommerce platform.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end execution of web and ecommerce initiatives, from intake through delivery.
- Lead day-to-day project activities including planning, tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Run daily stand‑ups and delivery rituals in a hybrid Scrum / waterfall environment.
- Ensure work is delivered on time, meets quality expectations, and supports platform stability.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and trade‑offs; elevate significant decisions to leadership.
- Track project-level budgets, forecasts, and actuals; monitor spend against plan and flag variances or risks.
- Partner with stakeholders to prioritize and manage the business backlog.
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable work for IT and development teams.
- Coordinate day-to-day execution with IT, agencies, and system integrators.
- Own delivery coordination, timelines, and dependencies with external vendors to ensure alignment to scope and priorities.
- Monitor vendor performance, surface risks or issues, and engage in contract discussions (SOWs, RFPs).
- Support initiatives related to ecommerce functionality, CMS updates, MarTech integrations, analytics, and tagging.
- Assist in refining and guiding existing delivery and intake processes for improved visibility and stakeholder satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years project management experience for web, ecommerce, or digital platforms.
- Strong experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in hybrid Agile / waterfall delivery environments.
- Proven ability to partner with IT, development teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) and/or Bloomreach CMS.
- Familiarity with headless architectures.
- Experience managing MarTech integrations, analytics, and tagging initiatives.
Physical Requirements
Employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear; occasionally push or lift up to 25 lbs. Standard office environment with computers, phones, printers/scanners. 10% domestic travel.
Compensation
$93,400 – $158,800 per year; remote work option from Plano, TX.
