Job summary

Alta Planning + Design seeks a Web and Digital Studio Lead to guide a multidisciplinary digital team and drive complex websites, web apps, and data-driven tools from concept to deployment.

The role blends technical leadership with hands-on development across front- and back-end systems, APIs, and marketing tech integrations, including GIS-enabled products. Collaboration with planners, engineers, and designers is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional full-stack web development experience with leadership of complex projects.
• Experience supervising technical contractors or vendors.
• Strong development tooling with VS Code, Git, Docker, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack development of websites, apps, dashboards, and data-driven tools from specs to deployment.
• Establish technical architecture for front-end/back-end, databases, APIs, data integration, hosting, security, and analytics.
• Build interactive data visualizations and GIS-enabled web products.
• Coordinate Python-based data processing, automation workflows, and APIs.
• Oversee integrations with external databases, CRMs, CDPs, and marketing platforms.
