Web Design & Technology Senior Manager - NYC (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

We’re a 30+ year, established, small NYC web development agency near the New York Times building that handles everything from design to development services for small to Fortune 100 companies. We offer 75% covered health insurance, an optional dental plan, and a 401(k) with a 4% match.

We’re looking for a hands‑on Web Design & Technology Manager who knows Shopify, listens well, communicates well and can juggle a small team and many clients to keep things moving effortlessly.

What You’ll Do

• Manage day‑to‑day progress on new and existing websites.
• Work within Shopify (non‑programmatically but ideally within Liquid code as well).
• Be directly client‑facing—listening closely, offering solutions, and keeping things simple for them with positivity.
• Translate client needs to our team, and keep track of progress and accountability.
• Tackle some front‑end work (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS) and help QA before launch.
• Give thoughtful design feedback and support light UI work.

What You Bring

• 3–6 years in web design, development, PM or a similar mix.
• Strong Shopify experience (Liquid, theme customization, app setups).
• Solid front‑end skills and a good understanding of UX.
• Great communication skills—able to explain technical things in a human way.
• Organized, solution‑oriented, and a genuinely good listener.

Bonus Skills

• WCAG accessibility knowledge.
• Figma/Sketch/Adobe experience.
• Basic SEO + performance awareness.
• Version control familiarity (GitHub).
