Job summary

INNOVIM is seeking a skilled professional to support NOAA’s NIHHIS Climate Program Office from its Silver Spring, MD base. The role emphasizes web and data science services for Heat.gov, stakeholder engagement, and the production of communications materials and briefings.

You will plan and execute heat-related workshops, coordinate outreach activities, and help expand datasets, maps, and reports that support community-based heating initiatives while coordinating with NOAA and external partners.

Qualifications

• Provide web and data science services for Heat.gov.
• Prepare and distribute NIHHIS communications such as newsletters and social media.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute heat-related workshops, meetings, webinars, and outreach activities.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and grow engagement with stakeholders and awardees via email, webinars, and other mechanisms.
• Organize peer review panels, report outcomes, and participate in strategic planning for NIHHIS initiatives.
• Develop datasets, maps, and reports for communities through the Urban Heat Island campaigns and related projects.
• Design and coordinate challenge competitions related to heat preparedness.
• Provide climate and health expertise and research execution for NIHHIS projects.
