Job summary

Cape Fear Community College is seeking a Web Content Coordinator to support the college’s website and digital communications. The role focuses on creating, updating, organizing, and maintaining web content that is accurate, accessible, and user-friendly for prospective students, current students, staff, and the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Web Design, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience managing, creating, editing, or maintaining website content.
• Experience with WordPress or a similar content management system; familiarity with SEO, accessibility, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve CFCC.edu content with the Web Developer and Community Relations team.
• Create/update pages for CFCC programs, enrollment initiatives, campaigns, events, and priorities.
• Review and edit content for clarity, accuracy, readability, and usability.
• Optimize content for SEO and accessibility, using metadata, headings, and FAQs.
• Monitor site quality, fix broken links, and ensure ADA compliance and accessibility standards.
• Assist with content migration, governance, and content organization across departments.
