Job summary

Boston University is seeking a Web Content Producer to manage and publish content for BU Today, Bostonia, and The Brink using WordPress. You will collaborate with editors, designers, and content providers to ensure strong editorial presentation and SEO-aligned copy.

You will also plan newsletters, curate media assets, and contribute to broader content strategy within the Marketing & Communications department. A BA/BS and 2+ years of web content experience are required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or higher in a relevant field.
• Proven experience with WordPress CMS required.
• Photoshop or Adobe CS/CC experience.
• SEO best practices knowledge; on-page SEO and writing for SEO.
• Planning and writing marketing emails; knowledge of email best practices.
• Project management with cross-team collaboration experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and produce content for BU Today, Bostonia, and The Brink using WordPress CMS.
• Plan, build and publish posts, web pages, and multimedia content.
• Coordinate media assets, newsletters, and email campaigns.
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and content providers to refine presentation.
• Contribute to content strategy initiatives for External Affairs.
• Maintain and update curated webpages and ensure SEO-aligned copy.
