Job summary

STRS Ohio seeks a Web Communications Manager to lead and manage its online presence for members, employers and stakeholders. You will develop and maintain websites, forms and applications, and drive online communications and marketing with collaboration from ITS.

You will design responsive interfaces, ensure ADA compliance and optimize user experience across devices and browsers, including creating email templates and data-driven pages. Strong front-end and back-end skills required.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in web design and development, online editing and site design.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, AJAX and JSON; PHP and SQL knowledge required.
• ADA accessibility and cross-browser compatibility knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead STRS Ohio’s online presence for members, employers, associates and stakeholders.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive websites, forms and applications.
• Develop data-driven pages and secure forms using HTML, jQuery, PHP, CSV and XML.
• Manage online communications and marketing efforts with ITS collaboration.
• Create HTML email templates; ensure compatibility across major clients.
• Oversee third-party programs, vendor relations and evaluations.
• Lead usability testing and ADA compliance efforts; document processes.
