Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Web Architect in Tallahassee, FL for a contract-through-June role with possible extension. The candidate should live in Florida and be able to work remotely under Florida residency constraints. Responsibilities include planning, reporting, and ensuring technical standards across enterprise projects.

You will leverage Oracle databases, ASP.NET web apps (MVC), .NET Core, Azure, and SQL Server to drive large-scale solutions. A BS/BA and 8+ years in relevant tech are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• Minimum eight years with Oracle databases including functions, procedures, triggers, packages, performance tuning.
• Minimum eight years developing Microsoft ASP.NET web applications with MVC conversion.
• Familiarity with .NET Core and Azure app development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server including stored procedures.
• Experience with batch processing and data loading.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services 2017 or later.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services.
• Proficiency with Office suite.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Experience testing applications, reports, large data sets, or dashboards.
• Experience producing documentation for requirements, specs, traceability, designs, testing.
• Experience with development teams on large enterprise projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing specifications and overall project planning and management.

• Ensure project docs include plans, budgets, risk, communication, change logs and reports.

• Write documentation showing testing and verification of modifications.

Job Duration: Contract through June + extension
Responsibilities:

• Assist with developing specifications and with the overall planning and management of projects.
• Meet with leadership to provide weekly status reports and monthly written reports covering accomplishments, areas of concern, and recommended solutions. Communicate project progress and information to the team, sponsor, stakeholders, and legislative body as appropriate.
• Ensure technical direction and standards are followed.
• Develop project plans and measure actual progress against those plans.
• Ensure project documentation includes project plans, budgets, risk plans, communication plans, change-control logs, and reports.
• Demonstrate an understanding of tactical goals and participate effectively in developing and implementing business solutions.
• Manage project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.
• Manage change control within projects.
• Obtain sponsor approval for changes to scope, budget, and schedule that affect the critical path.
• Write documentation showing the testing and verification of modifications to ensure objectives are met.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of experience with Oracle databases, including Oracle functions, stored procedures, triggers, packages, and performance tuning.
• Minimum eight years of experience developing Microsoft ASP.NET web applications, including proficiency converting ASP.NET Web Forms to MVC.
• Familiarity with .NET Core application development.
• Familiarity with Azure services and application development on Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including creating and writing stored procedures.
• Experience with batch processing and data loading.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services 2017 or later.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Experience testing custom applications, reports, large data sets, or dashboards.
• Experience producing technical documentation related to requirements, specifications, traceability matrices, designs, and testing.
• Experience working with development teams on large enterprise projects.

Key Considerations:

• Consultants are required to be off during the week of Christmas and New Year unless services are required with prior approval from division leadership.
