Job summary
Oregon Training Institute (OTI), a program of Community Action Partnership of Oregon (CAPO), seeks an experienced OTI Instructor to train weatherization and energy‑efficiency professionals. This full‑time, salaried role combines classroom, virtual, and hands‑on instruction with curriculum development and statewide collaboration.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging sessions, maintain materials, travel across Oregon, and contribute to Oregon’s clean energy workforce.
Qualifications
- Three years in building trades, weatherization, or energy efficiency.
- Strong understanding of building science and energy conservation.
- Experience instructing or training in weatherization measures.
- Ability to travel across Oregon and nationally.
- Knowledge of Oregon building codes and safety standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom, virtual, and field instruction on weatherization and energy programs.
- Develop and improve curriculum and instructional materials.
- Maintain training records, reports, and compliance with standards.
- Coordinate training locations, equipment, and logistics.
- Represent OTI at conferences and outreach events.
