Overview

An Instructor is required for the MidAtlantic OTI Education Center at Northampton Community College. The role delivers OSHA‑authorized training courses and customizes content for diverse adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver OSHA‑authorized training courses (10‑ and 30‑hour Outreach, 500, 501, 510, 511, and other OSHA numbered courses).
• Customize content to meet the needs of various industries and learners.
• Facilitate interactive, engaging classroom or virtual learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate course records and documentation.
• Stay current on OSHA regulations, industry trends, and adult learning methodologies.
• Represent the MidAtlantic OTI Education Center in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer (Construction and/or General Industry).
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years practical safety and health experience.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred, especially with adult learners.
• Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to travel to regional training locations (if applicable).
