Job summary

BakerRipley in Houston seeks a Weatherization Quality Control Inspector to support energy efficiency services for income-eligible households across the region.

The role conducts energy audits, diagnostic testing, quality control inspections, and verifies compliance with DOE, TDHCA, WAP, and local codes. You will review scopes, educate clients, and maintain project documentation while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in weatherization, building performance, or related field.
• Valid TX Driver License and required certifications (BPI EA & QCI, OSHA 30, EPA Lead RRP).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential energy audits, diagnostic testing, and quality control inspections.
• Conduct blower door, duct blaster, and related testing.
• Review work scopes, contractor docs, and projects for compliance.
• Verify compliance with DOE, TDHCA, WAP, SWS, and codes.
• Identify health, safety, and building performance deficiencies and prescribe corrective actions.
• Certify completed weatherization projects and coordinate rework.
• Provide technical assistance to staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Educate clients on energy conservation, equipment operation, and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and project documentation.
• Maintain required certifications and testing equipment proficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
