Job summary

Community Action Agency South Central Michigan in Kalamazoo is seeking a Weatherization Inspector to conduct energy audits, assess housing conditions, and verify weatherization and rehab work. • HS diploma or GED required.
• Current Weatherization certification for Energy Auditors is preferred; if not held, must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Between 1 and 3 years of weatherization and housing inspection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs and measures for weatherization and rehab projects.
• Conduct energy auditing services including Blower Door Test and Zone Diagnostics.
• Perform quality control inspections ensuring work meets standards and is properly documented.
• Assist in tracking clients, expenditures and contractors for reporting purposes.
• Attend meetings with City/County and participate in program reporting.
