Job summary

The Weatherization Assessor at Community Council of South Central Texas will conduct home energy assessments in Uvalde and surrounding areas, identifying energy efficiency measures and safety concerns, and preparing reports for contractor work.

You will perform testing (blower door, duct blaster, infrared), collect appliance data, coordinate with clients and contractors, and ensure TDHCA/DOE standards are met while traveling within the service area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1–3 years construction or weatherization experience.
• OSHA card and EPA lead certification required or must be obtained within 3 months.
• BPI QCI certification encouraged.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts home energy assessments for single and multi-family units and identifies energy efficiency measures.
• Performs testing (blower door, duct blaster, infrared) to verify conditions.
• Compiles and submits assessment reports for contractor execution and LIHEAP/TDHCA compliance.
• Maintains records in program systems and coordinates with clients and contractors.
