Qualifications

• OSHA card required or willing to obtain within 3 months.
• BPI QCI certification or willingness to pursue.
• Experience with low-income clients in non-profit sector preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs home energy assessments for single/multi-family units to identify repairs and improvements.
• Interviews applicants regarding energy usage, health/safety issues, and heating systems.
• Conducts testing protocols including safety testing on appliances.
• Completes walkthrough assessments and records appliance/HVAC data.
• Uses blower door tests, duct blaster, and infrared cameras to identify energy loss causes.
• Produces a comprehensive house assessment/report with recommended weatherization work.
• Develops material and labor estimates from contractor price lists.
• Enters data into NEAT or MHEA and LIHEAP priority list.
• Creates work orders and submits to contractors; coordinates change orders.
• Monitors subcontractor performance for quality/compliance.
• Provides training to contractors as needed.
• Final inspections of LIHEAP weatherized units to TDHCA standards.
• Maintains customer service: scheduling, inquiries, and client concerns.
• Acts as liaison between contractor and clients; provides energy education.
• Assists with historic preservation reviews for older properties.
• Supports outreach to recruit program participants; tracks progress and documentation.
