Job summary

Sesame is building a compact wearable machine perception system and seeks a patient, skilled Electrical Engineering technician to assemble, debug, and maintain prototypes and evaluation systems, along with the vendors and equipment required to produce them.

Responsibilities include assembly, test, debug, and rework of electro-mechanical systems; use and maintenance of oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, spectrum analyzers; and development of build & debug procedures for prototypes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in consumer electronics or a related field.
• Mastery of soldering and reflow techniques for fine-pitch components.
• Understanding of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Comfort with selecting, operating, and maintaining benchtop test equipment.
• Experience executing test plans for electrical systems.
• Basic understanding of firmware or software test scripts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proactive ability to solve technical challenges outside your areas of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, debug, and rework compact electro-mechanical systems.
• Order, use, and maintain electrical test equipment.
• Develop and maintain build & debug procedures for prototypes.
• Operate automated component test and data collection systems.
• Engage and manage fabrication vendors for prototypes.
• Manage lab space, equipment, supplies, and inventory.
