Job summary

Sesame is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to own the wearable hardware architecture and design across multiple workstreams. You will prototype, test, and refine mechanical systems in tight form factors, coordinating with electrical, firmware, and product teams to solve integration challenges.

You will identify and onboard fabrication partners, drive ME tool flow, and lead rapid explorations to optimize performance, aesthetics, and manufacturability for mass production.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience.
• 4+ years in wearable product design.
• Experience with complex electromechanical integration (sensors, cameras, batteries) in compact form factors.
• Proficient with CAD tools and mechanical simulations.
• Experience shipping wearables with ID/Cosmetic constraints.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, simulate, prototype, and ship mechanical systems for wearables.
• Create models, drawings, specs for internal/external partners.
• Collaborate across Electrical, Firmware, ID, and Soft Goods teams.
• Identify and manage design and fabrication partners.
• Travel as needed for prototyping and development.
