Job summary

Sesame is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to own the wearable hardware architecture. You will drive system integration, prototypes, and partner collaborations to bring compact, attractive wearables to life.

You will lead ME design flows, define supplier partnerships, and push explorations to solve integration challenges across disciplines in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product design, with wearable focus.
• 4+ years in wearable product design.
• Experience with complex electromechanical integration in small form factors.
• Knowledge of material properties: plastics, metals, adhesives, glass.
• Experience shipping products in a lead or principal engineer role.
• Expert with CAD and mechanical simulation tools.
• Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques.
• BS or MS in ME or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, simulate, prototype, and ship mechanical systems in wearable form factors.
• Generate models, drawings, simulations, and specs for partners.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Firmware, ID, and soft goods teams to solve integration issues.
• Identify and onboard materials and fabrication partners.
• Travel as needed for development and prototyping.
