Job summary

Textron Systems in Wilmington, MA invites a 2027 Production Planner Intern to support material planning and procurement activities for manufacturing. You will analyze demand, issue requisitions, and advance work orders while coordinating with program management.

The role emphasizes teamwork, independent work, and strong communication as you gain practical experience in a fast‑paced defense environment.

Qualifications

Pursuing bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field or <2 years of related work experience.
Ability to work independently and be highly organized with attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Basic understanding of MRP.
Team collaboration skills.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Interpret material requirements based on supply/demand analysis.
Issue and track Purchase Requisitions through procurement until material is received.
Issue job work orders to production and track through manufacturing completion.
Interface with program management and engineering for ISC team.
Advise management on status of work in progress, materials and risks.
Lead projects as assigned.
