Job summary

Textron Systems is offering a 10-week Production Planner (Weapons) internship in Wilmington, MA. You will interpret material needs, issue requisitions, and drive production orders while coordinating with program management and engineering through the ISC team.

We seek a motivated student pursuing a supply chain degree with strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills, and the ability to obtain a security clearance as a U.S. citizen.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field or <2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communications/interpersonal skills are required.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting material requirements based on supply and demand analysis.
• Issue and track purchase requisitions through procurement until material is received.
• Issue discrete job work orders to production and track through completion.
• Interface with program management and engineering on behalf of the ISC team.
• Update management on work-in-progress, material availability, and potential production risks.
• Take on and lead projects as assigned.

Interpreting material requirements based on Supply / Demand analysis

Issue and track Purchase Requisitions through the procurement process until material is received and available for manufacturing

Issue discrete job work orders to production and track through completion of manufacturing process

Interface and communicate with program management and engineering on behalf of the ISC team

Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems or risks to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are available as needed

Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs.
