Responsibilities

• Interpreting material requirements based on Supply / Demand analysis.
• Issue and track Purchase Requisitions through procurement until material is received for manufacturing.
• Issue discrete job work orders to production and track completion.
• Interface with program management and engineering on behalf of the ISC team.
• Advise management on status of work in progress, material availability, and risks.
• Take on and lead projects as assigned.

About This Role

A Day in the Life of a Production Planner Intern:

• Interpreting material requirements based on Supply / Demand analysis
• Issue and track Purchase Requisitions through the procurement process until material is received and available for manufacturing
• Issue discrete job work orders to production and track through completion of manufacturing process
• Interface and communicate with program management and engineering on behalf of the ISC team
• Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems or risks to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are available as needed
• Take on and lead project(s) as assigned

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

• Currently pursuing bachelor's degree in supply chain or related fields and/or less than 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work independently, highly organized with great attention to detail
• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of MRP
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communications/interpersonal skills
• This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Textron's compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. $23 - $27 per hour.
