Job summary

Schwartz Farms, Inc. in Stanton/Pilger, Nebraska is seeking a Wean-Finish Specialist who cares for animals and maintains barns and equipment to support health, welfare, and production.

You will monitor animal health, ensure feed and water access, vaccinate as needed, and keep accurate records while adhering to biosecurity standards. This is a hands-on, team-oriented role with weekends and holidays rotating.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• PQA certification must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Monitor animal health and welfare and provide daily care.
• Ensure animals have access to feed, water, and a healthy environment.
• Treat and vaccinate animals as needed.
• Monitor feed levels, feeders, watering systems, ventilation, and alarms.
• Respond to site alarms and communicate health or equipment concerns.
• Maintain accurate production and treatment records.
• Assist with barn cleaning, power washing, loading, and animal movement.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-kept facilities.
• Follow all animal welfare and biosecurity standards.
• Perform routine equipment and facility checks and maintenance.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities
