Job summary

Schwartz Farms, Inc. in Stanton/Pilger, Nebraska seeks a Wean-Finish Specialist who cares deeply for animals and works to keep barns clean, safe, and efficiently operated.

You’ll monitor health, provide daily care, assist with vaccination and recordkeeping, and collaborate with a team while meeting biosecurity standards. Must lift 50 lbs, hold a valid driver’s license, and maintain PQA certification.

What You'll Do

As a Wean-Finish Specialist, you'll help care for our animals and maintain the barns and equipment that keep our operations running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include:

• Monitor animal health and welfare and provide daily care.
• Ensure animals have proper access to feed, water, and a healthy environment.
• Treat and vaccinate animals as needed.
• Monitor feed levels, feeders, watering systems, ventilation, and alarms.
• Respond to site alarms and communicate health or equipment concerns.
• Maintain accurate production and treatment records.
• Assist with barn cleaning, power washing, loading, and animal movement.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-kept facilities.
• Follow all animal welfare and biosecurity standards.
• Perform routine equipment and facility checks and maintenance.
