Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in Private Tax to lead complex tax engagements for high-net-worth families and business owners. You will mentor junior professionals, deliver sophisticated estate and wealth planning advice, and manage cross-border tax matters.

You will guide governance, help grow client relationships, and supervise a tax team to ensure high-quality outcomes in a dynamic, globally connected environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with tax/financial planning exposure.
• CPA certification or Bar membership.
• Typically 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of estate and wealth planning.
• Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of tailored tax advice and compliance for complex family/business structures.
• Support wealth transfer, succession planning, and governance strategies.
• Manage multi-jurisdictional tax matters and cross-border issues.
• Coach and develop a team of tax professionals; review work for quality.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
