Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in Private Tax to lead wealth advisory engagements for high-net-worth individuals and family offices, delivering sophisticated estate, trust, and gift tax planning and compliance. You will mentor junior professionals and deepen client relationships across multijurisdictional matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in tax, business or financial planning with related experience.
• CPA certification or Bar membership.
• Typically, no less than 4–6 years relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of estate and wealth planning.
• Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation.
• Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs).
• Understanding of automated tax processing systems.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of tailored tax advice and compliance for complex family and business structures.
• Support wealth transfer, succession planning, and governance strategies.
• Navigate multijurisdictional cross-border tax matters.
• Coach and develop a team of tax professionals.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
