Job summary

Key Wealth Management, a division of KeyBank, offers a 10.5-week wealth planning internship designed to immerse interns in the goals-based planning process for high-net-worth individuals. The program covers discovery, data gathering, estate overlays, and presentation to clients, with collaboration across the Advisory Services team.

Applicants should be pursuing a four-year or graduate degree by May 2029, demonstrate leadership, and have strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year degree or graduate level degree by May 2029 with focused coursework in wealth management, financial planning, finance, accounting, business, and/or economics (preferred)
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork through past work experience and/or extracurricular activities. Outstanding academic achievement with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Learn end-to-end wealth planning process from discovery to presentation
• Partner with Advisory Services to understand planning objectives and life-stage priorities
• Construct a mock financial plan from discovery to presentation and practice explaining trade-offs
• Present a Final Project to senior Advisory Services leadership and participate in learning labs and networking events
