Plante Moran Wealth Management invites motivated students to join our internship program. You’ll work alongside staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, gaining hands-on experience and broad exposure to client-related financial planning and investment solutions.

This non-exempt internship offers substantial learning opportunities, potential travel, and exposure to wealth management practices across our firm’s advisory teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, economics, accounting or related field.
• Strong interest in investments and economics.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and clear communication (written and verbal).
• On track to complete degree and to pursue CFP exam or CFP Board Registered Program.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' assets, liabilities, cash flow, tax status, and financial objectives to develop investment and financial planning solutions.
• Evaluate client financial plans using knowledge of investment and tax strategies and financial securities.
• Perform recurring quality control on account activity, ensuring trades and money movements are properly executed.
• Prepare reports and visuals (charts/graphs) using technology to illustrate recommendations for clients.
