Job summary

Plante Moran Wealth Management seeks an intern to gain hands-on experience in trust administration, supporting a portfolio of high-net-worth clients. You will learn about revocable and irrevocable trusts, fiduciary accounting, and the opening/closing of accounts while contributing to daily operations and research.

You’ll collaborate with staff at all levels, with opportunities to engage in estate settlement, client relations, and value‑added team projects.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytic abilities.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, math, economics, accounting or related field.
• Academic success with a minimum GPA of 3.0; CTFA designation encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Gain overview of trust administration processes.
• Work with various types of trusts (revocable, irrevocable, grantor, charitable, life insurance).
• Understand fiduciary accounting and a trust accounting system.
• Assist with account opening/closing processes and daily trust administration.
• Prepare receipts and disbursements; research terms in governing documents.
• Support estate settlement and team projects.
