Job summary

MassMutual’s Wealth Management Controllership Team is seeking a Wealth Management Accounting Associate in Springfield, MA. You will support financial operations and reporting for Wealth Management businesses, contributing to core accounting tasks and gaining exposure to regulatory reporting and internal controls.

You’ll perform cash management, monthly close, intercompany reconciliations, and develop reporting/visuals for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in accounting, finance, or related functions
• 1+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or related functions
• 2+ years of experience with Excel, including PivotTables, data analysis, and large datasets
• Fingerprint background check and FINRA fingerprinting requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and weekly cash management activities and account reconciliations for Wealth Management entities
• Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany balances
• Analyze financial data and develop reporting and visualizations for stakeholders
• Assist with responses to external auditors and regulatory examiners
• Analyze trends and provide commentary to help leadership understand drivers and outcomes
• Support internal controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Partner with team to comply with SOX and FRR requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and efficiency through automation
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial operations
