Job summary

Main Street Bank in Marlborough, MA, is looking for an Assistant Controller to support regulatory and internal financial reporting. The role oversees general ledger, securities accounting, monthly/quarterly close, and cash management, with on-site and hybrid work options after training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• GAAP knowledge and experience with regulatory reporting essential.
• Experience leading accounting staff and collaborating with auditors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process general ledger transactions and manage close calendar.
• Oversee holding company and subsidiary accounting and financial statements.
• Assist internal/external/regulatory auditors with requested materials.
• Prepare external reports (FHLB, FDIC Call Report, DIF, IRS).
• Supervise staff and train/coach accounting personnel.
