Job summary

Cerity Partners is hiring a Business Development Officer to grow our Growth organization in the wealth management space. You will cultivate new client relationships, engage HNW/UHNW prospects, and coordinate onboarding and engagement with internal teams.

The role requires 5+ years in business development within financial services, a strong background in investment planning, and credentials such as CFP/CFA. Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 with strong benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or CFP® a plus.
• 5+ years of business development, sales and relationship management experience within financial services or wealth management.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
• Strong understanding of investment products, financial planning, and regulatory environment.
• Experience in workplace solutions and conversion process
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 & 65)
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or similar credentials

Responsibilities

• Engage and convert high quality prospective clients (introduce through internal and external lead sources), including delivering the appropriate inbound and outbound effort
• Managing on-going client relationships and expanding those relationships where appropriate
• Collaborating with other internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients.
• Effectively manage prospect pipeline with activity-based metrics and qualitative engagement
• Track and report key business development metrics, including pipeline progress, conversion, and revenue growth.
