Job summary

M&T Bank in Wilmington, Delaware, invites graduates to join its Management Development Program (MDP). You will complete ten weeks of Core Training and one year of On-the-Job training, learning banking, leadership and client service while collaborating with Wealth Advisors.

You’ll develop knowledge of financial markets, investment processes and wealth offerings, with opportunities to earn certifications and advance toward Wealth Advisor roles after the first year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree candidate at a school where M&T Bank recruits MDPs (or an MBA student with no work experience).
• Outstanding academic credentials (GPA of 3.0 or better).
• Up to 1 year's work experience.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
• Demonstrated presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and complete a one-year long, non-rotational training program while creating and adding value to assigned department.
• Core Training - Participate in training throughout the one-year assignment to learn banking, basic financial skills, technical skills, and leadership/interpersonal skills.
• Group Projects - Participate in group project assignments, working with a team of peers to build relationships and present to sponsors.
• On-the-Job Training - Combine core training with on-the-job training for the assigned department.
• Complete tasks in a manner compliant with laws and regulations and help the Company meet requirements.
• Understand and adhere to risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls.
• Identify risk issues needing escalation.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal controls and respond to audit points and regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
