Job summary

Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management division seeks a Business Development Manager to drive revenue and asset growth in the Seattle market. You will advise Financial Advisors, align firm solutions with client needs, and execute regional initiatives while coaching teams to improve practice management and knowledge adoption.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in Wealth Management, a valid Series 7/66, and proven ability to develop strategic plans and build cross-level relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Wealth Management experience or equivalent background.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Active Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) within 120 days of joining.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to align stakeholder expectations.
• Strong problem-solving and adaptable mindset.
• Ability to autonomously develop and execute strategic plans.
• Able to build relationships across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a trusted consultant to Financial Advisors, aligning firm solutions with client needs.
• Maintains knowledge of the Firm’s full product suite and positions capabilities.
• Drives adoption of national initiatives and regional priorities through execution and engagement.
• Develops and implements targeted business plans to support advisor growth and engagement.
• Conducts book reviews and segmentation analyses to identify growth opportunities.
• Delivers coaching, training, and practice management guidance to Financial Advisors.
• Partners with product specialists and market management to enhance advisor knowledge.
• Leads rollout of firm initiatives through presentations, workshops, and coaching.
• Serves as a subject matter expert on key platforms and initiatives.
• Facilitates training events and educational programs that support growth.
• Coordinates external resources and industry partners to deliver value-added advisor support.
• Collaborates across units to execute strategic priorities and drive outcomes.
