Job summary

The Northern Trust Company is seeking an experienced Personal Banker to service client accounts, process wires and transfers, and open/close accounts in a fast-paced environment. You will maintain accurate records and support relationship managers across wealth management services.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related experience, strong knowledge of banking regulations, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of banking operations and products gained through related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal regulations and banking guidelines from work experience or formal training.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills to handle requests and prioritize work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand the business model and collaborate with subject matter experts to identify client opportunities and cross-sell.
• Execute client account servicing activities within required timeframes (wires, transfers, opening/closing accounts, documentation).
• Proactively communicate with relationship management and NCSS teams to obtain information for requested activity.
• Mentor fellow Personal Bankers and share expertise in deposit-related services as needed.
