The Claims Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of direct reports, ensuring all quality, productivity, and customer service criteria are met while adhering to company policies and procedures. This position is crucial to the company's success and requires regular attendance, supporting the goals of the claims department and CorVel.

This is a remote position.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Supervises claims staff in their daily operations.
• Supports Claims Manager in staff recruitment, interviews, and training.
• Ensures staff compliance with Workers’ Compensation laws and regulatory reporting.
• Maintains team performance through training, coaching, and evaluations.
• Provides technical guidance on complex claims issues.
• Acts as liaison for clients and employees regarding claims and procedural requests.
• Adheres to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Requires consistent attendance and safety compliance.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to develop claims practice knowledge among team members.
• Participate in claim reviews and presentations.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Ability to travel overnight if needed.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of claims administration and cost containment for Workers’ Compensation.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ claims handling experience.
• Knowledge of WC required.
• Current Workers’ Compensation license or certification.
• Self-Insured Certificate preferred.
• State Certification as an experienced Examiner.

Pay Range

Salary ranges from $68,696 to $114,313, based on location, experience, and qualifications. The role may participate in a bonus program. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, 401K options, paid time off, and more. Details are available on the CorVel Careers website.
