Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. in Irvine, CA seeks a claims administrator to manage workers’ compensation and auto liability claims, supporting safety initiatives and regulatory compliance.

The role partners with HR, safety, and management to ensure timely, accurate claim handling and healthy workforce programs. You will investigate incidents, maintain records, support return-to-work, and generate safety metrics while coordinating with medical providers and insurers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Workers’ Compensation claims administration and workplace safety support.
• Familiarity with OSHA reporting and safety compliance standards preferred.
• Experience working with internal administrators, third-party administrators, and insurance carriers.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask and manage a caseload of claims with deadlines.
• Self-starter who can work independently as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and manage workers’ comp claims from start to finish, including reporting, investigation, and closure.
• Investigate incidents, gather information, and determine validity of claims.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal WC laws and policies.
• Coordinate with employees, supervisors, HR Benefits, medical providers, and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of all claims and communications.
• Support return-to-work programs and light-duty assignments.
• Track costs of WC claims, including medical expenses and wages.
• Provide training on WC procedures and regulations.
• Assist with subrogation and settlement documentation with legal oversight.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to track safety performance and trends.
• Support WC-related litigation preparation and data collection.
• Participate in safety initiatives and quarterly claim reviews.
