Job summary

PCC Airfoils, LLC in Douglas, Georgia is seeking a Visual Inspector to perform a systematic visual inspection of cast parts in the Wax department. You will read and apply the Quality Engineering Specification (QES) and follow a scan pattern to assess each casting.

Responsibilities include evaluating indications to accept or reject per QES, operating air-powered tools, grit blasting as needed, and performing the Toy Soldier inspection to spot differences.

Qualifications

• Read and apply the QES to visual inspection of cast parts.
• Interpret indications and decide accept/reject per QES.
• Lift/move parts safely and work with grit blasting as required.
• May train Inspector I's as required.

Responsibilities

• Read and apply the QES to the visual inspection of a casting, using a scan pattern for the inspection.
• Indications are evaluated and a decision is made to accept or reject the casting based on the acceptance of the QES.
• Operate air powered tool to remove defects and/or rework castings.
• Grit blast parts in an enclosed grit blast cabinet, as necessary.
• "Toy Soldier" inspection of parts to identify differences per the QES.
• Lifting of individual parts (up to 6 pounds) and a tray of parts (up to 25 pounds).
