Ferguson Enterprises, LLC. in Dayton, OH, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for Waterworks to prepare pricing proposals, respond to inquiries, and support bids across diverse projects.

The role involves moving between warehouse, pipe yard and sales counter while maintaining customer documentation and facilitating order-to-invoice processing. A background of 1–3 years in sales support or customer service is preferred, with readiness for physically demanding work.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a sales support, customer service, or related role.
• Experience in a target-driven sales environment preferred.
• Prior experience in waterworks or a construction environment is a plus.
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work.
• Ability to transition between warehouse, yard, counter, and administrative duties as needed.
• Developing knowledge of sales techniques such as prospecting, negotiation, persuasion, and closing.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; experience in project management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed pricing proposals and quotations for products and services across various projects.
• Support new sales opportunities by monitoring bids, researching projects, and assisting with prospecting efforts.
• Provide product and technical information to outside sales representatives, supporting efforts to generate sales in the utility market segment.
• Develop and maintain customer documentation that outlines product information and solution details.
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring effective communication, timely order fulfillment, and resolution of technical or service-related issues.
• Oversee and support the full Order-to-Invoice cycle, ensuring quality standards are upheld and all corrective actions and field quality reports are managed effectively.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and complete other duties as assigned.
• Responsibilities include training and working in the warehouse, pipe yard and at the sales counter.
