Job summary

City Of Atlanta Careers seeks a Watershed Manager I to lead the Office of Linear Infrastructure Operations within the wastewater division. You will guide engineering staff, coordinate with city crews, and drive performance metrics for wastewater and stormwater projects.

You will manage design efforts, monitor reporting, and ensure compliance with environmental standards, while developing personnel through mentorship and training. Strong GIS and Oracle/SQL skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or related field.
• Five (5) years of design, construction, and/or project management experience with wastewater collection systems.
• Experience with watershed modeling, GIS applications, and land use planning.
• Experience with management and collections systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the OLIO engineering staff and city crews; manage personnel and resources, sewer spills response and containment, permitting support, as-built documents, records management, smoke testing, flow testing, dye testing and repairs.
• Provide support to operating divisions through performance, reporting, escalations, service requests, and work order data processing.
• Provide general technical guidance for watershed operations.
• Manage small to large design projects that meet design expectations of operations, including emergencies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
• Supervise staff including training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Interact with the public to address issues and investigate complaints.
