Job summary

HDR is seeking a Business Class Director for Integrated Watershed Management. The role leads technical capabilities, coordinates with market sectors, and manages risk and quality across HDR’s service lines in watershed management and water resources.

The position builds industry presence, mentors technical leaders, and contributes to client development while ensuring adherence to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional registration in Architecture or Engineering required for leadership roles overseeing design.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate with other business class leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build relationships with related business classes, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead and participate in technical risk management through reviews and advisory services.
• Oversee quality assurance and control processes in coordination with the Quality Manager.
• Develop and apply technical tools, standards and techniques to enhance service quality.
• Collaborate with market sector directors to plan the business class strategy at multiple levels.
• Foster teamwork and cross-office collaboration across HDR's organization.
• Monitor direction, policies, quality, and staffing to ensure project success.
• Recruit and train staff to grow technical capacity within the group.
• Represent HDR in industry organizations and events.
